Basic Information on Skid Software

Skid software is designed to help special kids communicate and learn. Children who cannot speak properly, including many with cerebral palsy and autism, are denied access to a regular school, and other services even though they could communicate in other ways, for instance using a computer. It is such other ways, that Skid explores.

Modules have been combined in different ways to help children cater to their specific needs. For example,

edit pictures	The features allows using pictures and images to communicate. One can also edit, crop and rotate pictures and images and play with them. The file automatically gets saved and can be reviewed again easily.
Write text	The feature allows one to type text and communicate.
Use text	The typed text can be emailed and searched in wikipedia using this feature.
Fun	This feature carries simple games like nim for child to play and also increase intelligence.
